FinTech Fight Club Debate The first rule of Fintech Fight Club is . . . you HAVE to talk about it! Watch, listen, interact, and vote for your winning resolution as our champs debate some of the most provocative and relevant issues in financial services! Our debaters will go head-to-head on the propositions that:

1. Cash is here to stay.

2. The use case for faster payments is oversold.

Agree? Disagree? Not sure? Our debaters will use every bit of data and rhetoric in their arsenals to convince you to support their viewpoint, giving the audience real-world talking points to take back to their institutions!

Cole Augustine works as the Pacific Northwest Market Executive for an innovative, fast growing Trade Credit & Political Insurance broker called Impello Global and moonlights as the Co-Founder of the Fintech Fight Club. He's a career financial services professional, focused on helping financial institutions, technology, and non-financial industry organizations innovate and streamline within the opaque, cumbersome world of cross-border payments, trade, foreign exchange, and risk management. Cole spent most of his career working in the banking industry -- taking on responsibilities ranging from implementations and product management to sales and relationship management. After leaving banking, Cole moved into the world of technology, first focusing on payments in the mobility-as-a-service and public transportation industry, then in the larger fintech and payments arena. For nearly 20 years, he's sought to become the epitome of a deep generalist, bringing consilience and drawing from a wide range of disciplines, while garnering experience on "most sides of the desk." In Cole's current capacity, he focuses on building multi-pronged strategies that allow risk management to act as a driver for growth.

Cole's education credentials include: Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Global Credit Executive (CGCE), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and CertPAY designations as well as Global MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Outside of work, Cole spends his time puttering around on his Onewheel and seeking out obscure heavy metal music, both in his hometown of Portland, Oregon, or abroad (back when international travel was an option, anyway).
