POSITION TITLE:  Investor Analyst

LOCATION:  Portland, OR (or) San Francisco CA


ACM Management Company, LLC (“AC”) is a sustainability-driven agriculture and food investment advisor. AC currently manages two large investment funds (“the Funds”). The Funds invest in permanent cropland and synergistic midstream assets to create a vertically integrated enterprise that grows, packs and markets high-value produce. Through an owner-operator model, the Funds employ a value-added approach to farm operations, focused on sustainable farm practices and the sale of organic produce as a means of enhancing returns. Our mission is to generate superior returns for our investors, and have positive impact on the environment and communities in which we work. 


We are looking to hire a Investor Analyst to be located in either our San Francisco, CA office or Portland, OR office. The Analyst also support key investor activities to raise capital for the firm and expand the scope of the firm’s operations.The Analyst will also analyze key business drivers to develop a fundamental research function for the firm. The Analyst role is a two to three year program. The future of investor and research at AC will be based on several key activities that the Analyst will help lead.


  • Telling our Story: Synthesize data and internal discussions into investor reports.
  • Data Driven Research: Generate valuable insights based on operational data and industry research
  • Granular Performance Data: Collaborate with the team to incorporate ESG and headline risk considerations into financial models
  • New Product Development: Work closely with our business development and finance teams to help build new research products
  • Relationships: Become a trusted resource for our team and the industries in which we work. Expand our relationships with industry analysts and marketing organizations
  • Idea Generation: Be responsible for your own research ideas, and benefit as your thesis becomes validated


  • Draft investor reports and other investor documents
  • Conduct market and industry research to drive investment strategy
  • Build the firm’s capabilities sourcing market information and data
  • Assist in due diligence on potential investment opportunities
  • Build processes to track and report on market information
  • Develop marketing and investor reporting materials
  • Travel, primarily within the US West Coast, is expected
  • Sample initial projects include, but not limited to, crop pricing and forecasting, midstream processing industry structure


    • Undergraduate degree
    • 0-2 years experience (internships excluded)
    • Demonstrated interest or experience in agriculture/food
    • Comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
    • Strong work ethic and excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Strong writing skills (writing skills are the most critical requirements for the position)
    • Familiarity with presentation and spreadsheet apps required, as well as desire to develop data analysis skillsets
    • Experience in data science or statistics a plus
    • Experience with Salesforce a plus
    • Candidates must demonstrate the potential to be flexible, creative, resourceful and disciplined in a high-growth setting
